🔺 Day 1 – Tokyo via Enoshima island to Ito Onsen

We start our tour by visiting the popular Enoshima Island. Enjoy a leisurely walk around the island and savor fresh seafood at a local restaurant. Riding along the beautiful coastline, we make our way to the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula. Tonight’s stay is at a Japanese ryokan in Ito Onsen, where we’ll relax in hot springs before enjoying a welcome dinner.

Leaving the coastline behind, we ride up to the Hakone area via the popular Izu Skyline winding road. We’ll visit Hakone Shrine and the volcanic Owakudani area, then take the Tomei Expressway to Gamagori. If the weather is clear, you’ll catch a glimpse of the majestic Mt. Fuji. Tonight, we stay in a classic historic hotel in Gamagori.

After exiting the Tomei Expressway at Kameyama, we head to some traditional sites. First, we’ll visit Sekijuku, an old post town on the Tokaido, then the Iga Ninja Museum. Riding along a historic road, we arrive in Japan’s ancient capital, Nara, where we’ll see the Great Buddha, the largest bronze statue in Japan.

Today we journey to Japan’s most famous city, Kyoto. First, we ride to Wazuka Tea Farm, renowned for its matcha and Uji tea. Here, you’ll witness the beautiful tea fields and enjoy a tea ceremony. Next, we visit Ohara, a peaceful town nestled in the mountains of northern Kyoto. After dinner at a local restaurant, we visit Nijo Castle before staying in a traditional townhouse where you can fully experience Kyoto’s rich culture.

Today we cross the two beautiful bridges, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Seto Ohashi Bridge, and visit Konpira Shrine. Tonight’s stay is in the canal district of Kurashiki.

We begin with a morning walk in Kurashiki’s Bikan Historical Quarter. We’ll then ride along the river to Hiruzen Highland and continue to Adachi Museum of Art, home to Japan’s best gardens and fine art collections. Tonight, we relax in the hot springs of Tamatsukuri.

Our day starts early with a visit to Izumo Taisha, Japan’s most important and ancient shrine. We ride along Lake Shinji and reach Japan’s largest dune, Tottori Sand Dunes. Tonight’s accommodation is at Kinosaki Onsen, where you can stroll along the willow-lined streets in a comfortable yukata and unwind in the hot springs.

We ride through the mountain resort area of Karuizawa at the foot of Mount Asama, an active volcano, and make our way to the Fuji Five Lakes area. We’ll enjoy lunch at Lake Kawaguchi, then ride up to the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji at 2,300 meters along the scenic Fuji Subaru Line. The sea of clouds stretches out below, with Mt. Fuji’s peak just above. After this majestic ride, we return to Tokyo, marking the end of our unforgettable journey.
