🔺 Day 1: Tokyo to Ito Hot Springs

Leave the bustling city behind as we head for the Izu Peninsula, a coastal gem. Along the way, we’ll stop at a fishing port to enjoy the freshest seafood Izu has to offer. Feel the sea breeze as we ride along the stunning coastal roads. Tonight’s stay is in a traditional hot spring inn, where you can soak in the soothing waters and relax after your first day on the road.

🔺 Day 2: Ito to Tateshina via Hakone and Lake Kawaguchi

We begin with a ride along the scenic Izu Skyline toward Hakone, where you’ll visit Owakudani, a volcanic valley still steaming with geothermal activity. On clear days, you’ll enjoy majestic views of Mount Fuji. Don’t forget to try the famous black eggs! Afterward, we ride toward Tateshina Highlands, where you’ll enjoy cool mountain breezes and breathtaking views of Yatsugatake. Unwind in a highland resort hotel at Tateshina Hot Springs, surrounded by the beauty of Nagano’s nature.

🔺 Day 3: Tateshina to Takayama via Venus Line

Ride Japan’s premier touring route—the Venus Line. This open, winding road offers sweeping views of the landscape below, with exhilarating high-altitude vistas. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the way to soak in the stunning beauty. After a lunch break in Matsumoto, we continue toward Takayama, passing through tunnels and admiring the North Alps’ dramatic mountain scenery. Arrive in the historic town of Takayama, famous for its traditional streets and Gassho-style houses.

🔺 Day 4: Takayama to Kusatsu Hot Springs

Today’s route takes you along the Shiga-Kusatsu Road, an incredible mountain pass full of hairpin turns and breathtaking scenery. You’ll stop at the Yokote Mountain Drive-In, where you can take in panoramic views of the road you’ve just conquered. We’ll also visit Japan’s highest national road for a commemorative photo. Our destination is one of Japan’s top hot spring resorts, Kusatsu Onsen.

🔺 Day 5: Kusatsu to Tokyo
310 km / 192 miles
Our final ride takes us along the Tsumagoi Panorama Line to Karuizawa, with majestic views of Mount Asama. From here, we’ll cruise through quiet rural landscapes before returning to Lake Kawaguchi, where we bid farewell to Mount Fuji. The journey ends as we ride back to Tokyo, filled with unforgettable memories.
