Enjoy Snow Walls to Shinshu Area.

Take the Kanetu Expressway & Joshinetu Expressway and got off at Shinshu-Nakano IC then went ahead through Shiga-Kusatsu Road.Cherry Blossoms are in season there and still beautiful.

Ride along the snowy landscape mountain road,


at last we cloud reach the beautiful Snow Walls.

It’s about a half tall as usual due to  warm winter weather , but I was satisfied to see the white and high walls.   Here is an unforgettable place I saw once.

Then I pass the highest point of National Route  

I reached Kusatsu Onsen hot springs. It’s one of Japan’s most famous hot spring resorts. I visited Yubatake(The hot water field, the symbol of Kusatsu.),

saw Yumomi Performance(Traditional way to cool down hot spring water)

I enjoyed  high quality hot spring. It’s so relaxing! Feeling so good with air and scenery in Shinshu touring!

Sado Island

Sado Island is a wild and beautiful remote island and one of Japan’s largest islands.
It has an interesting history.Go to see the unique traditional culture and nature.

Arrived at Ogi port by ferry.
It took about 1hour30 minutes from Naoetsu port in  Niigata Prefecture.

First of all I rode on Route 45 from Nanaura Coast to Senkaku Bay to see a beautiful coast line. Route 45 is Sado Round Road.

Passing a rustic sleepy fishing village

I arrived Sado Kinzan Gold Mine.It was the most productive mine in Japan in Edo Period. I enjoyed an attraction.

Then I rode up to north.

On Route 45, I enjoyed a variety of riding.Riding along a seaside lots of strangely shaped rocks climing up a windy mountain road

continued an interesting road………There is rich nature there.
A few mile to Oonokame.

It’s so beautiful in summer to bloom yellow flower everywhere.Then I continued to ride for south.Arrived at Ryoutu port.

It’s the other side of Ogi port where I’ve arrived

Noto Peninsula touring

Noto Peninsula is known for its coastal scenery and rural atmosphere.

Started from Naoetsu port.Passing through Niigata Prefecture and Toyama Prefecture,finally I reached up to Noto Peninsula,Ishikawa Prefecture.

I crossed the Notoshima-oohashi Bridge and enjoyed a sleepy fishing village in  Notojima Island.

Then I went up to Suzu Area,quiet rural view

 

Riding along a coastal line,I found something to attract their interest,it’s a unique Salt Farm!

Salt was made from the ocean by spreading seawater on fields by the traditional way. It was so interesting!

On the way to Wajima City,I found one more attractive view.It’s Senmaida. a hillside of terraced rice fields along the Sea of Japan.

Day trip to Kamakura

Let’s go on a riding to an attractive coastal area just 50km south of Tokyo.

We went for riding to Shonan Area. First we visited a historical capital city of Kamakura. Big Torii is located on a path leads to Kamakura Hachiman Shrine.

 We rode along the beautiful coastal beach road looking at Mt.Fuji at the distance

 and went to the ancient island of Enoshima

After enjoying riding,we had lunch at  Mediterranean-style Sushi Marina restaurant.
The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, and you can enjoy a leisurely meal.

 Shannon area is very near from Tokyo and has fun places rich in variety to visit.
